Do you think I should change the background of this beautiful yellow rose.. If so what do you suggest?

No I like the background.
Sorry, but your rose is out of focus.

Rather than changing the background try bumping up the contrast. It seems a bit overexposed and looses some detail in the brightness.
Sometimes you just have to chalk it up to a learning experience.
The rose is out of focus...it's blown out with no detail and the background is not very pleasing.
Instead of trying to change the background...think about what you can do next time to get a more pleasing image...
1.) Underexpose a slight bit, never in direct sunlight.
2.) Move around until you get a background that you like or create a good background using colored cardboard.
3.) nail the focus/take extra shots so you get a good one.

I think the background is fine but the rose is out of focus.

Rose is soft focus..you could try to add more shadows with your software and some contrast..and crop much tighter...next time if you are using your point and shoot use the blossom setting..or if you are using dslr put the aperture at the smallest setting..the background wil blur...
