Indeed it is an iconic image. (I get nightmares just looking at it.)

And the link below is a great tribute, to the men and the “togs”. It is very good work on both sides.

I don't see how they did it. I can't even climb a ladder unless I got a good hold on something. and that isn't because of my old age wobbles.

Thanks for sharing that post.
In the early 60s I worked as a photographer for Chase Manhattan Bank Corporate. My Boss was Mr. Larry Thornton. He often tasked me with important assignments. At that time the Bank was building the new Headquarters #1 Chase Plaza. I worked that job doing record photos of the construction for the Board and history. 5 stories deep into solid bedrock. 3 days a week walking steel with the construction workers. Mostly American Indians. There was always a safety net every 2 floors. Yes, one day I drooped my Camera. A few scratches but no damage.
There was an occasion where Life magazine hired Robert Matar (Photographer). He set up what was considered at that time the single larges group of steel workers on the skeleton of the building and was shooting from the top of the Federal Reserve building. Since all the e mworkers were on a paid break, it was considered the most expensive model fee ever paid.
I was shooting images of him doing the shoot. Sorry I do not have any to share. PS, Thank God I am part NC Cherokee.

Yep. I myself resemble that remark. Fear is only your mind telling you that you are doing something that might kill you. Lol. Those of us who are older have listened.
