No set "kit" - I decide ahead of time what I am going to shoot take what I need. I always take spare batteries, memory cards, and if going for an extended trip, a Ravpower WD-03 to transfer files from my SD cards to to 128gb flash memory sticks. I will take anything from a bridge camera to a D810 and a 600mmF4, heavy duty tripod and gimbal. And a bottle of water.

When I Travel I take my Canon 5D Mark IV, 16-35 f/4, 24-105 f/4, 70-200 f/2.8. And when going on a difficult hike, I pack my Canon G7X Mark II.

Depends on what I am shooting. Before shooting, I blow off front of each lens with my Rocket Blaster, check for fresh battery and memory card. If I am shooting wildlife, in my hands I carry the Nikon D500 with the Nikon 200-500 f5.6, on my spider belt I carry an additional D500 with either a Zeiss 100mm lens or a Nikon 28-300.
If it is landscape I shoot the Nikon D810 with Nikon 16-35 or 24-120 with NiCi filters and Induro tripod with Manfrotto ball head. If I am shooting on the beach I put Manfrotto sand feet on the tripod.

It all depends on what I plan to shoot. It could be as light as a N90s with a 35/2.0 on a hand strap (without the battery grip) with a couple spare rolls of film in my pocket - street shooting, for instance. If I am not sure what I will be shooting, or if I plan to work on several projects, the full 35mm kit in a pelican case (3 bodies, several lenses, several speedlights, MagMod modifiers, filters, extra batteries for everything, maintenance items, film, cards, etc.), the MF bag along with tripods and light stands in the truck as well. I would also have a couple smaller bags to use as go bags when away from the full kit.

If I am training one or more grandkids, they would take the training kit - D70s with its Tamron 28-75/2.8, and a spare battery in its bag. But to keep it “level”, I would just take a go bag with my D500 with its Tamron 24-70/2.8 VR G2, spare batteries and snacks - kids love snacks.

Everything I've got fits inside my midsize Think Tank Streetwalker bag. So I take it all. Good exercise.
Camera, flashes (2), macro, 400mm + 70 - 300mm zoom + bits and pieces. Can't fit my binoculars in though.

Here is 1 item that I bet almost no-one mentions: a roll of strong dental floss. This has come to the rescue several times to repair ripped bags (camera and suitcase), tie things together, etc. Have even used it to remove some stubborn food from between my teeth! Naturally, an essential companion item is a needle kit.

2 -Nikon D7100s with battery grips; sometimes I substitute one of them for a D300
80-400mm zoom
70-300mm zoom
18-140mm zoom
105mm macro
Strobe
Circ polarizers for each lens
Notepad and pen
Compass
Lens cloth
Lens brush
Flashlight
Neutral gray card
Business cards
Usually a passport - not planned, I just forget it after a trip and it stays in the bag. But then, if I get a whim... (It has to be a hell of a whim, since I live in Maryland!)

i have a big girl camera but I've been really happy popping my sony rx100v in my purse lately. the lens is super sharp, it has a nice little zoom and the images have been more than solid. i look forward to keeping this little guy with my when i go out.

I generally have my D7100 with my 80-400mm lens on it, my D610 with my 50mm. (note: I am looking at the AF-S NIKKOR
24-120mm f/4G ED VR but haven't pulled the trigger yet). I carry my Nikkor 18-70 (dx) lens, which is okay but not great, my 70-300mm Nikkor lens (again ok but no contest against the 80-400) and the Tamron 10-24mm which only gets used on special occasions. I also have remote releases for each of the cameras, lens cleaner, lens cloths (both disposable and a couple of lens material cloths, filters (I have adapters on each of the lenses that need them to convert all to 77mm filters.. this way I only have to carry one of each type filter and All of my lens caps are the same size so I don't have to waste time getting the correct cap on the correct lens. Extra batteries (all of my cameras use the same El-EN-15 battery which is convenient). The wife has a Nikon D7000 which also uses this battery.
I also have a tripod and other accessories. Generally, when I am in the field, I will have one camera on the tripod, one on the strap over my shoulder/neck ( I love this strap as it has the additional strap under arm and hangs at my right side right at my hand) plus one remote release for the tripod. All of the additional accessories are either left in the car or the trunk on the motorcycle so I can get them if I need them. I generally carry the two cameras with lenses on them, tripod and remote release only. If I need something else, I will go back and get it. Note: generally the D7100 has the long lens and the D610 has the shorter or wide lens. Unless I use the Tamron 10-24 then it has (well should) go on the D7100. If I put the wide zoom on the D7100, then I move the 80-400 over to the D610.
