Isreal used to have many suicide bombers and terrorists....I wish I had the number to share but it was substantial every day. So common sense dictated they build a wall. I believe the number now is 0.

Correct. But how about “ other” acts of terror? Like shooting Palestinian children who were demonstrating, burning and destroying their crops, destroying their homes and building illegal settlements? When you give examples make sure they are balanced and t***hful.

This is a photography forum. Can we focus on the images - even when they sometimes might carry a political message?

Dear RAINDEER, just try to understand to your own point of view and consider both sides: EVERY war has casualities - even the so called "justified" war!
During the second World War, Allied forces bombed some European cities flat - k*****g children (peacefully demonstrationg or not), destroying crops and burning homes. The N**i army did the same in Poland, Russia and where ever they came.
So, that is when better ideas for protection are not available, why some countries build a wall - to protect themselves from terror.
Not a permanent solution, but an obstacle and a visible barrier.

Why terror? Because we have a tendency NOT to learn from history at all!

While the photo itself is inaccurate there is more or less a wall (partial fencing ) which serves the same purpose. To protect themselves from illegal crossers. So why the big hoopla about us constructing a wall?

For starters $25B has far better uses than a wall. Institute hiring practices that severely penalize any business hiring undocumented workers. That would be a great place to start.

Building a wall is much cheaper than housing, feeding and educating the i******s we are spending money on now and their cost will continue to go up. The wall is basically a one time cost. At least the wall would slow down illegal crossings (not totally stop) to more manageable levels. Then remove the i******s that are here. Everybody pissing an moaning about the wall should think about the fact that for the last three administrations basically nothing has been done to fix the problem. Got a better idea than the wall, let's hear your plan in detail but make sure it also addresses the i******s who are here already and what to do with them?L

I*****l i*******ts do not receive free food stamps, government housing, etc. This another wives tale. Yes the children are allowed into public schools. If they need medical attention, they either pay for the doctor's visit or goto the Emergency Room. That is not covered by the taxpayers, unless it is a county or city hospital that meets the needs of the underprivileged. That is about the extent of it.

Enforce the laws that we have and that will curb the i*****l i*******ts. Make the penalty over the top excessive to make it hurt if any business hires i******s.

The dumbass wall would have to be maintained.
Maybe Mexico will do that, but probably not.
