Nice photo of a beautiful bird. Where did you shoot it? I am thinking about a trip to Australia next year and am becoming dismayed at how large the country is (difficult to fit into a 2 weeks trip).

Just in a local park - South East Australia. So I'm in Canberra the nation's capital - the Bush Capital. So, by car, I'm about two hours from the snow fields and alps, and about two hours from the coast. Three hours to Sydney, six hours to Melbourne and twelve hours to Brisbane. and eight hours to Wentworth, the start of the real Outback Australia. Locals checking out Australia by car and caravan (trailer or camper) - call it the the Lap, give themselves twelve to twenty four months, usually travelling around the coast and going inland as required.
