I had a similar problem. I ended up having to E-mail the photos to my phone. Then save them to “my photos”. Others here may have another work around, but this works for me.

I have an S8. I exported the photos to a temporary file, cable-connected the phone to the PC, then drag and dropped them onto the phone. Actually, I put them in a directory on the phone's SD card.

Logic says you should be able to connect your phone to your PC. Doing so should provide another ‘drive’ in the destination selection dialog in LR to which the images can be exported. But, in fairness, I use an iPhone and have never attempted this.

A free subscription to Dropbox works well for me, in this regard. I export to a DropBox folder on my PC, then with the DropBox app installed on the phone, the exported images become accessible.

Dropbox is great, but emailing a copy to yourself and saving to the local photo folder is easiest.

That's what I do - it's even easier than trying to set my Galaxy phone to file transfer mode, then select photos, then transfer. Easier to just go to email, attach the files, then download them at the other end, whether sending files from phone to computer or vice versa.

Just curious - why from computer to phone? Why not access them on yr phone from website storage like Flickr, etc.?

I’m always apprehensive about emailing images. Too many mail servers down-size the images to get them through the mail server quicker.

An easier approach is to sync the images you wish on your phone within Lightroom Classic in the catalog section. Than use Lightroom mobile on your phone to access them. You can even edit them from either device and the edits will be reflected on both.

I use The Cloud to transfer pictures. Upload from my computer then download to my phone.

On a Mac I can use Air Drop to move photos from one device to another. So I would simply export the photos I wanted to a file on my desktop Mac, then Air Drop them to my iPhone.

Easiest way is getting a Ravpower WD-03. In addition to having an SD card slot, you can move files from any wireless device to any other wireless device as long as you identify the RavPower SSID in both devices.

The other way is to use Dropbox.

And yet another way is to download a file manager app in the Samsung, and use it to link two folders - one in the phone and the other on your computer. Then run a sync operation to move the images from the computer folder to the phone's folder.
