Mergansers

I go to a park every day for lunch and have gotten lots of critters in its pond and the creek that runs through it. I was thrilled to see that some Mergansers had shown up in an area usually populated by regular ducks and geese. The regular inhabitants seemed a little nonplussed about the arrival of these colorful exotics. They are very shy, small and very fast flyers. They look like little Egyptian pharaohs. They are SO cute.

We get the occasional mergancers in the big creek out back here where I work in Oaks PA.
They are really cool looking ducks and your photos of them are very nice.

Nice work! They are such a fine looking bird and your portraits do them justice. It is a treat to see them locally.
