In going through old files to delete and make room on the HDD I realized that before I started to try focus stacking I had been using bursts to get one sharp shot when flowers etc were moving in the breeze or I wasn't real steady with the hand holding.
Well I decided to try using those bursts for focus stacks.
a 3 shot stack of a Bronze Mum needs more shots of the upper right area in focus
6D, 100 mm macro, 1/125 @ f/2.8, ISO 400 hand held
Hey Robert, that came out NICE. That is a great idea letting the natural movement do the focus stacking! What software did you stack them in?

Well it worked this time. Now to mess up the idea by trying to do it!

I had the first 7 shots marked to delete when the thought popped into my head that they could be a focus stack. The results are pretty good. Now I need to redo the PP work on the 20 stack - on looking back I do not like the colors, contrast detail etc.
Good thing LR doesn't modify the originals.
Very nice shot of a pretty flower.
