I have a Lightroom 5, which in the past allowed me to send emails without any problems. For some reason, I no longer can send email from it.
What shall I do?

I assume you checked that your smtp settings in Lightroom are correct for email right?

There are two ways to start the email process in Lightroom, by right clicking on an image, and by selecting an image then clicking FILE/EMAIL PHOTO - sometimes the right click email photo can be grayed out, so use the FILE/EMAIL PHOTO selection or the keyboard shortcut for it.

The other possibility would be your attached EMAIL PHOTO is too large for your email service - depending on your email provider there can be different limitations on how big a file you can send with each email.

If this does not help, you might look at posting additional info & screen shots that show where the process fails.

FWIW - for me, I use Apple Mail on my iMac to send and receive all email, so from within Lightroom I select send email and Lightroom is set up to pass the image to Apple Mail for me to address and send it. You can choose to set up your normal email client to be used, or plug in your smtp info and allow Lightroom to act as the email sending client.

Gave up on sending emails via LR long ago. Simply does not work for me. No amount of validating works anymore. May have to do with the anti virus or the fact I use gmail.

FWIW - I do not send directly from Lightroom, instead I let Lightroom launch the internal Lightroom email dialog and press OK without entering any address, which launches my email client, Apple Mail, with the image as an attachment and I can address and send via Apple Mail to my Gmail backend.

Further, I have no smtp info entered into the Lightroom email setup, only to use my normal email client of Apple Mail.

I do not use a WEB email client to access my GMAIL account (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) but a real email client on my system.
