I never ever used anything moistened to clean photographic lenses. It takes a lot of extra wiping to remove the liquid that such tissues deposit on the lens, and whatever is on the lens gets smeared around instead of being picked up by the tissue.
I use normal paper lens tissue. Microfiber cleaning cloths are great, but eventually pick up grease and dirt, the first of which can be deposited on the lens and the second of which can cause fine scratches. A new tissue each time or at most a couple of uses is safer.
The trick is to gently exhale on the lens surface, which (except in the hottest, driest conditions) forms a very fine layer of water (exhaled breath is almost pure water vapor) on the lens surface, which is enough to loosen the dirt or grease there, which the lens tissue immediately absorbs without smearing it around. Exhale and wipe a couple of times and you have a clean surface with the minimum of effort and potential damage to the glass surface.

I buy boxes of Zeiss Lens Cleaning Wipes. Use them for my glasses and lenses. Very inexpensive and they seem to work well.
I do the same. Been using them for years. Use them on all my optical equipment. Never been a problem. Keep them in my pocket when in the field.
