Used to live in Davenport and work at the arsenal. I looked forward to the eagles every year. Only positive thing about winter in that part of the country!
cval52,
Thanks for the comment. We drove past arsenal road on the way to the parking area along the river.

Outstanding! Particularly like #3 and the light on the forward edge of the wing
I like # 3 a lot myself just wished I had zoomed back a little to get the whole top wing in the capture.
Live learn and keep shooting.
Thanks for the kind word Professor

Feiertag,

I am not yet savy enough to get the Metadata. Can anyone direct me to general instructions? Thanks.
newnanphoto,
I don't know which web browser you use to view the Ugly Hedgehog Photography Forum in I use Mozilla /Firefox and Internet Explorer comes on Windows Operating Systems up to Windows 10, they changed the name and I don't remember it right now.
Each of the web browers has the ability for Add-Ons, you can google how to add the Add-Ons for your particular web browser.
You want to find and add-on EXIF Viewer, or Metadata Viewer, as the previous comment
This link will take you to some reviews of the different viewers available.
http://carlcheo.com/best-exif-viewersOnce you have the add-on and you download the image if available in UHH, right click the image and select the EXIF viewer or Metadata viewer depending on which you have added.
Some people who post their images choose not to have the metadata included, in which case there will not be any information to display.
Hope this helps
Mike
Looks like you had a wonderful and productive day. These are really nice photos. Patrick

Great shots!!! Worth braving the cold.

Thanks for the kind words, we were able to park close to the River, and had the ability to warm up in the truck if we got to cold.
Though when the action was happening it is amazing how fast you forget about the cold feet or nose.
I just didn't like when I forgot to hold my breath when I moved to the view finder and steamed it up.
Regards,
Mike

Magnificent set Mike. I like them all, but #2 is my favorite. Well worth braving the cold.

Thank you for the kind words, funny how I forget how cold when the birds start flying closer to where I'm standing.
After foggng up the viewfinder a couple times had to pay attention to where the camera was while I was breathing.

Mike

74 adults on 1/17/2018 !!!! I think I'm heading West this weekend. Great images and link to the Eagle report. Thanks!
It is a fun time, we went again on the 20th the weather was a lot warmer not as much ice so the fishing area was not as concentrated, more open water.
It was really hazy due to the higher humidity, still had a good time.
Best of luck if you go.

Great pics!
When younger we used to go down to the dam in Davenport in the spring and watch the eagles fish (and drink at the dock).
Thanks for the kind words, glad they brought kind memories.
