Cindy and Mandy were both adopted from a shelter. Although they were not related, they decided between themselves that Mandy (the white/black kitty) was Cindy's mother. Anyway, Cindy frequently went to her and silently requested a cleanup, and Mandy always obliged. They were both strictly indoor kitties, but they enjoyed watching the antics of their outdoor visitors as they performed on our deck, on the other side of the glass patio door. In this case, their floor show entertainer was a squirrel, but it often was a pair of chipmunks, or a possum, or a groundhog, or a raccoon, or various birds who taunted them by coming right up to the glass. I miss them both.

The photo was taken in 2004, with a Nikon F.
