Well, I will tick off another item on my bucket list soon. I leave in two weeks for a month in NZ. Taking my Oly EM1.2 plus MZ 7-12 Pro f2.8, 12-100 Pro f4 and my 300mm Pro f4. Hope this selection of lenses gives me the range I need. Will be self-driving two weeks on North Island and two weeks on South Island. With friends so will be less pressed for time for pics than an organized tour but not completely free to shoot for hours. One of our friends is another photographer, so there will be two of us wanting to linger at great photo sites. Looking forward to these great views.

Why nightmare? If you miss a few meals, a little sleep because of photo-ops? What's more important?

And you get to explore the "new" eighth continent "Zelandia" (http://www.geosociety.org/gsatoday/archive/27/3/article/GSATG321A.1.htm) which I think is where Zoolander went during his hiatus from modeling.

I took my Panasonic’s zs100 and an Olympus tough and for the first in a while I was sorry I didn’t bring a bigger camera.
(And I just bought a g 85). Everywhere you look there is extraordinary scenery which literally changes every few miles. I’ve never seen the colors of green that you see there. And the trees are magnificent. And the mountains. And the harbors and bays .... just got home. Pix in a few days.
You are lucky to live in such a beautiful friendly place. No worries. No kidding.

It's not paradise. My sister lives San Francisco. She is coming out in 2 months and I had to get her to bring me a pair of shoes in wide fitting. Can't get ANY shoes in wide fittings here. Because the manufacturers want the importer to order 500 pairs minimum in each size, color and style we get the bare minimum. Because the manufacturer has an agent here they will not ship other sizes over. So we go without. As you can imagine this really annoys me. It is not only shoes but most other things as well. Fortunately we are well represented by cameras and lens (although at a price) but NOT all the other useful accessories. So we import privately. I have used B&H a lot in the past. None of this affects the scenery of course nor the food and we have the best wine in the world. So its a balance. And I like our head of govt way more than yours.
The next couple of months will be good because we have plenty of rain and hot weather so everything is green. And don't leave stuff unattended - there are a lot of light fingered folk around.
