Anyone who has a D850 (or size comparable)? I've been looking for a camera bag that would fit the D850, 70-200 attached lens, 2 other shorter lenses and a flash. I prefer a shoulder bag. I did purchase the Think Tank that was advertised with the D850 but returned it because it looks like the fabric would show dirt and it also did not seem to close tightly and I feared gear could fall out or weather and dirt could get in. I have a Lowepro 100 for my smaller dslr and love it!! BUT have read reviews that the Lowepro 200 (which is out of stock) is too tight of a fit for lenses especially. Any ideas? I'd like to stay under $300 if possible. I did go through the camera bag discussions already posted but did not find one specifically dealing with a D850 size comparible. Thanks for your help.

The Lowepro Magnum series shoulder bags are the strongest shoulder bags I've ever checked out. They have a one-piece molded bottom that can take a lot of weight. I have the Magnum 200 AW bag. It's a fairly large bag. I carry my D500 with an attached 80-400mm lens. The Magnum 400 AW and 650 AW models are even larger.

I have a Lowepro Nova 200 AW bag. It's been discontinued.

When I purchased my D800 I bought a larger bag for the very same reason. It DOES carry what I ask it to, including two cameras. Drawback....it's as heavy as heck. The previous TEK bag that I had was smaller and well designed, would carry two cameras, flash, my main zoom and at least one other lens and was not as heavy. Unless you just want the bag to organize your stuff.....consider a smaller bag and carry just what you need on any particular day.

What was the TEK bag that you had?

Looking this one up now. Thanks.

Ah yes, this is the one that is back ordered. I have asked them to notify me when in stock. However, this is the one that some of the reviews say that the lens sections are too tight. But you use it? So maybe not. Perhaps I will just need to wait until they are back in stock, order one, and find out. Thanks for the recommendation.

My suggestion is to visit a camera / photography brick and mortar store. That way you can see an actual stock, check the material, and see what other benefits they offer. For example, the pen holders on the outside of my bag have paid off many times.

I have an older bag I bought in 1986. No idea what the brand is but it still works, holds two cropped bodies with lenses attached, a couple of extra lenses, and some extras in the front pocket and top pocket. When it gets dirty I just empty it and wash it by hand in the shower. After it dries I spray it with Scotchguard to water proof it and keep the dirt off.

Yes, I really should do that. The nearest camera store is 2 1/2 hours away. Guess it’s time to take a day trip.

I used a Think Tank for a while, but sort of out grew it and started using a MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack. The Mindshift has worked and I like it, but it may be more (bigger) than you are looking for. There is also a smaller Mindshift that may be worth looking at; MindShift Gear TrailScape 18L Backpack.

It was a TEK model 4603. When I look at that bag, sizewise, in comparison to my new bag, I'm amazed at how much I was able to fit into it. It will take my D800 and 28-300 with no problem. I'll have to try it out with the 70-200 and see how it works. It has adjustable compartments and would be an excellent day bag, if nothing else. Check ebay. You may be able to find one on ebay for a decent price.

Ebay has one on sale now for $14.99. The bag itself is in good condition, but it appears as though the dividers that should be in the interior are not there. Too bad. With the dividers, I'm able to carry my main camera and lens, a second camera, a wide angle lens, and a second lens. If I need a flash I can substitute it for the second camera or one of the lenses.

I went on the B & H photo website. I see that the Lowepro Magnum 200 is back ordered. You could go with the Magnum 400 to see how it works out.

I checked out a video on the Magnum 400. The video indicated that it is meant for pros and to actually be moved by dollies if available. It's a big bag meant to carry a lot of equipment. They can also be stacked in order to carry the sufficient amount of equipment. The 400 is not the type of bag you'd sling over your shoulder and carry very easily.

I buy and use the old photo journalists Tenba Bags, love them. You can get them off ebay. The following one is just an example, I usually buy the next bigger size and for less than this guy is offering. Again, just an example.

Many, many choices. Suggest you start with the Lowepro bag finder tool.
