There seems to have been a trend lately of people on this forum being rude, and even argumentative. Please stop. I see no harm in being matter of fact in a response, but being snide, nasty, argumentative, throwing insults, bullying, slagging off others who may not even be a part of a thread, any of that is just unpleasant to read, and not nice to be on the other end of. Try and stay positive, this is a forum for exchanging anything you like within its limits. It should be fun, informative and positive. Not a way to vent anger. Let's all try to make it somewhere to relax in please.

I agree with your basic premise. However, to paraphrase Steven Covey, it is often pointless to try to control the actions of others. Better to control how you react to them. The 'ignore' feature on UHH is a great tool for dealing with bothersome posters.

I agree. You are your own boss, and can become as bad as the person who has been off with you. Or choose to be better than that.

This is not going to get resolved by asking 'the difficult ones' to desist.
The only working practice is to slide past their comments. To be ignored is not their aim...but it should be yours!
People like this site for the help and information they get. Stick to the info you like and scroll past that you don't.
This is something we teach children.....This is not the school yard...no one is going to knock on your door.

It has been suggested that you put people on your 'ignore list' - several OP's have complained about who says what etc after being ignored - so that creates another wasted thread! Do you need to rehash arguments?

There are lots of threads I ignore - once it degenerates, but I do not have an ignore list! Because it makes the point that you have been upset by a comment. Simply ignore it....who cares!

I don't read every thread....I pick and choose....I don't even answere every thread I read...Life is too short to try to 'right the wrongs' done by others. But I am getting fed up with people wanting to censor, reeducate or simply moan about other people's 'attitude'.

Go photograph....it can be truly uplifting.

I do photograph, I love doing it. The rest of your comment, I agree completely about ignoring the bad. Which is why I'll ignore the rest of your comment 😊. Have a good day.
