Hi I'm new to site and I'm happy to be apart of the UHH family!
For the last 5 years I've been shooting landscapes where ever I've traveled.
I'm stepping into portraits and although I'm a little nervous of my work not being excepted I'm excited about it as I discover my own lane in portrait photography.
Any pointers would be appreciated, thank you.

Welcome Shawn. The best advice I can offer you is to pick up and read some good books on Digital photography, and practice, practice, practice. By the way, apart and a part have entirely different meanings.

Please don't be nervous about your "work not being excepted" because we're here for the fun and pleasure of photography, not to condemn or reject. Your comment about discovering your own lane in portrait photography is intriguing, since it implies a search for originality, something we all should be interested in.
