This might be a bit humorous to some but I didn't find it funny at the time. Last Wednesday I was attempting to fly and get some shots of our second "snow event" in about five weeks. Very catchy phrase I guess. So I get the bird set up. Batteries charged, props on, GPS set. I use my tablet with the DJI Go app and all I get is bullshit. I have to log in with a user name etc. Well I've never had to do that before. So I switch to Litchi and the tablet keeps defaulting to the DGI Go. After fighting with it for about 30 minutes I said the hell with it and decided to try my phone. Same apps and same crap with DJI Go. So I went to Litchi. I got a video signal and GPS confirmed and took to the sky. This is a scenic area I've been intending to film for a long time. I get out about 1/4 mile and start loosing the video feed. I thought that was strange but I kept on the course I intended to fly. Next thing I know I get the warning that signal is lost. The control signal. Just before I thought it would go RTH I got the signal back and decided to bring the bird home manually. So for all my trouble I got a short video and some stills that aren't worth posting. Some days you're just not meant to fly. I haven't touched my Phantom since but maybe tomorrow I'll have time to sort things out.

Sounds like it just wasn't mean't to be your day, Larry--hope you get it sorted. I did an update on my P4P+ recently & had no signal at all after the update. After a while, I thought I would try updating the RC (it had never been updated) & it worked. One difference I noticed after updating the AC is that I now have continual auto focus (AFC)--no more forgetting to tap the screen to focus the damn thing, lol.

I also had a problem when I didn't update the RC as well as the AC. Every update seems to cause problems and is not really an improvement over the previous version. Maybe I'll have a chance this afternoon to figure out what went wrong.

I was going to fly last Saturday but it was too windy. But Sunday was a different story.
