The 10-24mm is a good lens.

I bought this lens because I wanted something a little lighter than the Tam 150-600. So far so good. seems sharp focuses fast and about 2 lbs less that the 150-600. Will I miss the 200 mm? Probably, but I really used to dread dragging that heavy lens around.

Thank you very much. What bodies (or at least camera brand) are you using with the lens and do you find that you can get good results while hand-holding that baby? I understand a tripod collar is a $130 option and is not yet generally available. Didn't see your images at first. Would you save the original and re-post so I can get a closer look? Please disregard my inquiry on camera bodies.

I got the tripod collar from Adorama with the lens. I bought the lens because I much prefer to hand hold than us a a tripod. I use a pistol grip and after the Tam 600 this thing is like a walk in the park.

For some unknown reason this thing wont store the original???

Thanks Joe. I love a poster who provides evidence to support his/her position. You are among the few who consistently do just that. First two images seal it for me. Thanks a lot. "Here it come".
