Soldiers will not go without pay unless the government is still shut down when they are due to receive their next paycheck. AHH....my guess is the shutdown will last exactly one business day. V**e to take place at 1 p.m.
Also, by law, should they actually miss pay, they are reimbursed for the pay they lost once the shutdown is over. Before this law was passed sometime in the 90's, that was not the case.
But then again, despite the fact that there have been 17 government shutdowns since 1976 (one about every 2 1/2 years), some would think that the sky is falling.
