I need help with printing photographs. I am using a Mac computer, Lightroom and an Epson P800. I would love to find someone in the Charleston, SC area who might be able to help.

Can you be just a tad more descriptive with the problem you're having?

Basic problem is when I hit the print button it won't print. It previously did. Also can't figure out how to size a photo. I really need a lesson in printing.

First off, I know nothing about Mac computers and just enough about my Win computer to coerce it into obeying me, most of the time.

I had a similar problem this weekend. When I looked into the printer settings menu, I found that I had 'Epson xxx' and 'Epson xxx copy 1.' When I changed my selection to the copy 1 version, it worked.

Could you have a situation similar to this?

And, going out on a limb here, I'll assume that you've confirmed that all of the cable connections are in proper order? Maybe try switching between a wired connection and a wireless connection?

Have you resolved your black streaks on your prints problem?

You may try going to the Epson web site & chatting with customer service, too.

Again, in 'Windows speak,' when you tell your printer to print, you should get setting to allow you to set the size of your paper, and how to scale the image to fit the paper, including margins & boarders & such. You would set the image size in your PP program, but not knowing your PP program(s) I can't offer a step by step procedure.

Good luck!

My friend had a similar problem with an Epson printer her son had given her. Don't know the model number, but it would print 16x20's. It had been sitting for a very long time. Did the install. Didn't work. Everything on her computer went through a router, so we plugged it directly into the computer. Didn't work. Called a computer fix-it friend and followed his instructions. Didn't work. Finally called Epson. They weren't much help, but a salesman at a camera store suggested that there's a resent button inside the printer that sometimes has to be activated if the printer has been sitting awhile. Found it. It worked.

I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing Laura Shoe's DVDs on Lightroom @ 50 each. I used them to learn lightroom myself. There are two of them; one for the input side and one for the output side. Best of luck.

I know that’s not what you meant and likely not what you typed, but this just cracked me up!

Oh. Oops. Typing in a hurry. Reset.

How about: In PRINT module, directly under the "print job", make sure it says "printer", not "JPEG File". Easy to overlook. OR, if you're using WiFi, is the printer connected?
