After Zion we went to Bryce. Second in the 5 park series. We were at Bryce Point, 8300ft up.

Thank you for stopping by Bultaco. I do really appreciate your comments, especially since you have been there also. And yes, Bryce is soooo amazing.

I love Bryce, we were there in October. We drove through Zion a day later and were very disappointed, not in the beauty, but in the crowds. We weren't prepared for the crowds or the shuttles. A few days later we went to Canyon DeChelly. For my money it is as beautiful as Zion, but without the crowds. It is managed by the National Park Service and the Navajo Tribe. I realize this is in Arizona, not Utah but thought I would provide an alternative in the same area.

Excellent series. We're really enjoying your time with the Big 5 and this is another beautifully captured N.P.

Rich, Am I correct? in that in ancient history this area would have been covered in water?

Makes me wonder how they were formed. Wind and water for sure but just how - did sink holes develop in the under-story? Did the ocean recede and then return?

It sure is beautiful in Bryce, fmalquist...I know what you mean about the difference between Zion and Bryce, but all 5 are different from each other. When you were at Canyon DeChelly, did you find the spot where Ansel Adams took his famous picture of the ruins? Kenny Rogers had his "man" find the spot and set up the camera for Rogers to come by and just snap the shutter.
