Very nice 61... does the 348 happen to have Tri-Power (3 2 barrel carburetors) or a 4 barrel?
Welcome to the Classic Car Community. Consider Hagerty for insurance. Super coverage and the Agreed Value, Zero $ Deductible and coverage for Spare Parts and Tools is typically 40% of your regular policy with no benefits for the Hobby (Addiction) I’m not associated with Hagerty but I have my 5 Classics and my Racecar Trailer insured with them for 7 years.
Please more interior, engine bay and trunk shots.
Good Luck
Greg

BTW if I can be of any assistance in sourcing parts or ??? feel free to PM me.
Very nice 61... does the 348 happen to have Tri-Po... (show quote)

Beginning in '58, wasn't the 250hp version a single quad and the 280hp and up had trips?

I hate you lol. In 1962 i made a big mistake. I was going to buy a new car. It was between the Chevy Impala with the works, or the Pontiac Catalina. I went with the Pontiac.....i don't know what i was thinking. I'm still sorry after all these years. That car you got is gorgeous. I hope you get a lot of joy in it.

Thank you so much for your kind words.............when I came home from the war in 1966....I to opted for a Pontiac.but I decided on a GTO......however I found it to be a very troublesome car

Nice looking car.
I had a '64 Impala but when I had it it was just another used car, three years old. Had the 283 V8 with 2-speed PowerSlide transmission. I bought it when I was in the Air Force stationed at Hickam AFB in Hawaii. When I was discharged the AF shipped it back to California for me. I should have left it there. Had to rebuild the engine AND transmission at 50K miles. Had nothing to do with GM cars after that. To be fair, Honolulu traffic was brutal for cars - tons of traffic, short trips, constant stop and go.

No no not Summer... SPRING as soon as rain has scrubbed the salt from the roads... Drop the top, max the heater on hi and just try to avoid that very large grin on your happy face! That’s my plan for my 68 Cadillac DeVille (convertible)... maybe we could coordinate a Spring Hog’s Classic Car & Coffee Photo Shoot. Only one requirement a Camera and/or a Classy or Classic Car...

Might be fun... think about it

I"ve always wanted a classic car, as so, I found the right one for me, Here is my 1961 Chevy Impala SuperSport Convertable, with factory A/C........A very rare option in 1961, my car was a total off body restoration, its powered by a Chevy 348 cubic inch engine, which incidentally is the same engine block, which was bored out to create the famous chevy 409.........that The beach Boys, made famous..she puts out 250 Horse Power, which was a lot for 1961.....

Very nice. Have fun with it.
