The failure of the Government to approve budgetary extensions puts the National Park system out of business! There is some talk about keeping them open on a limited basis, but if you are heading our to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Shenandoah and others of the more than 400 National Parks, call ahead at the very least, before you go!

How would you feel if you were the victim of being a dreamer?

Blame the Democrats . They’re putting the i******s ahead of our military , that’s what this is all about . In the past Republicans always folded to the Democrats demands , but this time finally someone is standing up to them . Schumer is the real culprit here . Trump has many faults but the constant attacks on him are getting ridiculous. If these Parks are closed blame the Senator from NY .

Trump said he would sign any deal Congress brought him. They brought him one that solved the dreamer problem and provided much more funding for border security. Then he reneged. Seems like more blame rides on him. So much for the art of the deal.

I don’t think they closed the park system, those senator only did what their boss, the big fund giver, told them to do.

You are correct ... it's the dumb-a-rats that caused the problem in the first place! At least we won't be further in debt now...with the shut-down and all. I have a feeling this is going to be a fire storm! lol ë¿ë

This political discussion of assigning blame belongs in the Attic.

Sounds like FOX FAUX News. Quite a few Republicans v**ed "No" as well. The Dems pushed an issue that is very important to them - the lives of 800,000 kids who want to become citizens of the country they have grown up in, and in some cases fought for, The GOP has promised to act on this but has refused. They have passed legislation with no hearings or input from the Democrats. On this issue at this time the Democrats can force the Republicans to s**t or get off the pot.

I will go to work on Monday without the promise of a paycheck. I will GLADLY do that if it means that the Dreamers will have a chance to stay here and become US citizens.

Trump has said that a shut down is the president's fault. Was he lying then, like usual?

What part of "illegal" do you not understand? Do you think making i******s, legal, is fair to the people who've spent many thousands of dollars and years to come into this country legally?

Reneging is what Frump does best.

How is it that you can even attempt to blame the Dems when there is a Republican majority in the Senate?

You might as well blame Obama while you’re at it but hey, this is the mindset that allowed to goofball to be elected in the first place...

We have had quite a few shutdowns in the past decades, and only 'non-essential' programs have ever been shuttered or reduced. If you consider the military in that category, or think maybe the rest of the gov't does, ya, maybe some impact. Otherwise this will be an inconvenience for some, and an expensive experiment in partisan politics.
