In addition to many other mostly indoor projects for the winter, I have enjoyed learning to do the 'twirls', and taking shots of frozen soap bubbles from the front porch. Enjoy. Suggestions for improvements welcome. Thank you to whoever started the first 'twirl' on this site.

Thank you for the positive comments. There are instructions online for making substantial soap bubbles. What I did was purchase soap bubbles at the store, pour some into a different container, add a little sugar, a little corn syrup and a little glycerine. When the temp is around zero, go out and blow a bunch in the area you plan to shoot. Those that do not pop right away will slowly freeze. Regular soap bubbles tend to pop before freezing I discovered. I suspect that adding any one of the above ingredients may help them to hold shape, although I don't know. I tried adding a few drops of food coloring, but they would pop before freezing. Trial and error got the few I have been able to get clearly. Focusing is also tricky I discovered, although that probably depends on the available light.
Thanks, something to try while it's cold here :-)
Today is finally above freezing and you've really piqued my interest.
That does look pretty cool though.
Thank you rlaugh, katydid, Joe Blow, Skiextreme2, and Say Cheese. Glad you enjoyed them.
