Maybe neglected but very photogenic! I like the soft warm shades - grasses and structure - and the moody sky!

Thanks

I must have passed this a couple dozen times on my way to Bosque del Apache and each time I thought.....I need to stop and take a shot of this. I finally did on Wednesday.

Love this. A winner in color and would also be a winner in B&W. Well done.

Thank you.

I tried B&W but it just didn't have any snap to it. I think it was the cloudy day/flat light. I couldn't get enough contrast without making it look unnatural.

Yeah, I can see where that might be a problem.

Consider buying it and turning it into a Studio/Gallery.

That could actually work due to the number of people from all over that visit the nearby Bosque del Apache wildlife refuge each year. Now.....all I have to do is convince my wife

I will talk to her for you. My selling point is we can have UHH images sold from all over at the Gallery.

My curiosity is wondering is there are still rails next to the station. Or even just the road bed. What would a shot along the tracks with the station on the side look like. If the building was moved then I guess that would be academic.

But hey, this is a nice one and could also be nice in B&W. Close in on that old wood on a sunny day. (Not criticizing, its a very nice shot. I'm just tossing out ideas.)

I haven't investigated very closely but.....the tracks were moved some time ago and they are now on the other side of the road from this old station.
Next time I'm down there I'll have to remember to see if there is anything left of the old road bed. Some of the surrounding area is private homes so....I don't want to get shot.
