Before Christmas it was UPS, now it's USPS

I had two packages coming, one from Indiana & the other from New Jersey. It took each package one day to get to the Atlanta Distribution center in Atlanta. Then it took from 1/9 to 1/16 for those packages to get from the Atlanta Distribution center to Dallas (about 35-40 miles away)...During this time we had no snow or other impediments to delivery...The expected delivery had been listed as 1/11.... I got other packages in that time frame so I don't know why the delay but it was annoying. Thankfully it wasn't anything I needed ASAP.

As the sating goes, "Stuff happens." : )

I've gotten a couple of emails from UPS lately saying that a package was delayed because it was "misdirected."

At least you got an explanation from UPS....I sure didn't. I had gotten an email from UPS saying the package was "out for delivery" and even had a tracker for the truck, but it never came till several days later,
and this was an in-state delivery....

I ordered an item on Amazon Dec 31 and it still hasn't arrived. Tracking said it was shipped via USPS on Jan 5th then nothing for nearly two weeks. I cancelled the order last night. This morning tracking says it arrived in Monsey NY Jan 18. It will be at least another couple of days before I get it.

Do you have Amazon Prime ? Did you call Amazon ?.... I have had my Prime subscription extended by 3-4 months because I didn't get my goods within two days of being shipped. That was on multiple orders. Each time they gave me an extra month...

I do have Prime, but unfortunately this wasn't a Prime item. I have to wait 48 hours to give the seller a chance to resolve before going to Amazon. I just got billed for my Prime subscription, but good to know about the extension. I will remember that in the future. Thanks.

I was told that Amazon deals with USPS mostly. Once in a while I get UPS delivery.

My general understanding is that an interim shipper (like UPS) delivers the package(s) to the post office for final delivery.
