artisan 1430
I HAVE JUST CLEANED PRINTHEAD OF ARTISAN 1430 AND AFTER INSTALLING IT BACK AND STARTING PRINTER THE CARTRIDGES ARE NOT RECOGNIZED I MEAN WHEN I'M ADDING CARTRIDGES ONE BY ONE EACH OF THEM IS ACCEPTED AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH ONE I'M ADDING FIRST, BUT WHEN ALL OF THEM ARE INSTALLED, THE PRINTER REFUSES ALL OF THEM AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH ONE I'M ADDING LAST, DOES ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ?

Check to installation of the print head. If it isn't lined up just right, it won't recognize cartridges.
Thank you Jerry,
I will check it today...

Did you try turning it off all the way and then bringing it back up again? This is how I do it. That is, if what you mean by "not accepting" is that the ink levels graphic still shows your cartridges as low.
I did that what you always do and info which I got is: cartridge not recognized,
Thanks for trying to help me...

yes this is what i was doing first and many other tricks but it doesn't work out

Your opening statement is a little hard to understand. It sounds like you removed the printhead for cleaning and I have to wonder about that since that's quite the task. I tend to think you removed the cartridges for the cleaning and then reinstalled them. I think you would be better served if you explain how you went about the cleaning.
I have three Epson photo printers and know something about head cleaning and some of the other problems with Epson printers. I haven't been around your printer but I'll sure it's similar to the five that I've owned.
yes i got couple of epson printers too, like 3880 and 1400, but when i removed the printhead from my 1430 to cleaning and injecting cleaning fluid to the holes, after installing printhead back and installing cartridges, because you have to remove them before cleaning the printhead as you know, all cartridges are not recognized
CALL EPSON, it could be the cradle that the cartridges are inserted into.
I think I will call them, thanks for the very good advice it helps a lot...
Best regards
In addition to the other suggestions, if there is any chance that you touched the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges or in the print head, this could cause lack of "recognition". I would ask Epson for recommendations on cleaning the contacts.
wrun72 There is very probably NOTHING major wrong here. The Artisan 1430 is marketed as the 1500W here in the uk. I have several printers and one is a 1500W (1430 in America). I also look after several other printers of this model.
First off whether you are changing cartridges or opening the 'hatch' for CD printing or pretty much whatever make sure you have the printer powered up or it will get confused! If you get a 'cartridge not recognised' error you must remove the offending cartridge(s) and refit them with the printer powered on. Also Epson printers will usually say cartridge not recognised when you fit a 'compatible' cartridge. After you remove/refit it you may get the 'you are using non original cartridge(s)' message asking if you wish to continue. After cleaning did you power up the printer before fitting the cartridges? Please let me know, PM me if you like, I can probably work through your problem with you. Epson will very likely just say (erroneously) that you should not have fitted non-original cartridges and suggest repair or a replacement printer. I have been printing for many, many years mainly with non-original cartridges and inks and have had no related problems at all.
