This is what you get when you hire a Craigslist photographer! (Still learnin' Photoshop, huh?)

The client found the images so funny, they kept them and didn't ask for their $250 back! "It was worth it, for the laughs."

The client shared the images on Facebook, where they quickly went viral. This is NOT the word of mouth advertising a photographer wants!

(P.S. There are times you shouldn't watermark your images or ask for a photo credit, too... Might want to delete the EXIF, too, so folks can't find out who created the images.)

The near total washout of the faces would seem to have to be hard to due in Photoshop. How was it done, I wonder.

There's a link to a Photoshop demo how to do it.... I'm just hoping it's not the "next great thing" that clients want to see in their images.

I’ve already received questions about “that weird family portrait style”... it’s gonna be TNBT (The Next Big Thing). 😈

I find it questionable that only the faces show the weirdness, even the hair is OK. And in some of the shots the faces look like they are pasted on.
This couldn't be one of those "15 minutes of fame" things done on purpose could it??? Or a joke/prank on the whole social media herd to see how many of them fall for it.

Im guessing its all a joke. This link seems to prove it:

People just crave attention. I bet these images are posted here and a bunch would proceed to praise them! You all know the ones Im referring to.

I read several articles on those now viral images.

Consensus was it was a publicity stunt because, on one of the links (don’t remember which one), you were redirected to the family’s business page...which was something other than photography.

Clever marketing ruse.
