I lived 20 miles from Gettysburg and Sharpsburg and other Civil ?War sites. Loved it. So much history. Thanks

I also live close to Gettysburg and Sharpsburg. It was a strange time when these two armies meet. There was a lot of glory now, but on those few days I don't think anyone was thinking of glory. They wanted to survive. Yet it is a great testament to this country that we can survive something like the Civil War and come out a greater nation.
