I happened to be out taking a walk a few days ago when I noticed the sun shining down through the leaves of an oak tree. With our (usually) mild winter climate, many trees have not dropped their leaves, even in January. It was early afternoon on a perfectly clear day, so the sun was almost directly overhead. The combination of the colorful leaves against the blue sky background made for some nice photo ops. I did not use a polarizer on these, and all were shot at 1/500 and f/8 with auto ISO. Minimal processing in Lightroom 5; posting 4 images. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy. Sometimes it just pays to look up.

Nice color, I am in Trinity, 65 miles north west of you and few leaves remain, most have dropped by now. And it's a LOT colder here. No mild Texas winter this year.

Nice use of complimentary colours.

Good to see the beautiful colour with the pretty blue sky. Lots of grey in the UK.
