I live in one of the most remote places in lower 48 .moved here to retire. I need a lens like a Tam 28 to 400 .I have a cannon 6d . I was wondering if any one would provide a lens in exchange for copy of pictures or a guided photo shoot . They could say with us at our house not fantastic but warm and dry . It about 5 miles max to 3 different wilderness areas I would like any input on how this could play out
The Canon 6D is full frame - The Tamron 18-400 is not a FF lens. The Tamron 100-400 IS FF.
Basically, you may have a good idea going .....

I think that area is what I called "high prairie" in Idaho. Beautiful country. Rivers and streams, Meadows w/wildflowers. I used to convoy through Lewiston, White Pass and that area when in the Idaho National Guard. Sinful to travel there without a camera????
Do I recall that right?
Also a lot of old mining towns, some restored and very nicely populated, popular in that region of Idaho.

I'd almost buy a new lens, to spend some time in Gods country.
My Tamron 28-300 is not for sale, even for the fine Idaho offer, but I would recommend this range of focal lengths for all around use on a FF camera. Add a very dark Neutral Density filter for long exposures of running water and a cheapy Polarizing filter to remove sheen from leaves, and a good, medium weight tripod. All set for photography in your new home. But stay out of the mud come spring thaw!
