pg. 35: PJ, love your pix of Gerainium. Very pretty! That is one plant that I just seem unable to grow and a Gerainium, so I am told, is one of the easiest. Perhaps if I learned to spell it, it might grow pretty for me. You susppose?

pg. 35: Janice, great idea, but may I suggest you start the Garden stream. The reason being, I am unable to get out and about for pictures. Every thing I have posted is from my own yard. I am looking forward to be turned loose but that will be a while coming, as in perhaps next January. I have another surgery due on my back. Good thing I am a tough old broad!!

I dunno, maybe I will.... still think you should myself. You don't have to put a lot of pics on it to get it started and let everyone else share what they have.

Thank you
I am having a hard time with the geraniums right now. It was 115 degrees here today.
I have been in Arizona since 1983 and still have not figured out how much water to give the plants. Some live some die off.

pg. 1: Teri O, thank you for your comment. Love hearing (whoops - seeing that). Yes I have two wonderful daughters. Both claim working in the yard is fun. "Play Time" for them.

What gorgeous garden pictures from every one! Wish I could sit here long enough to comment on each, but, sorry. My time is so limited to sit here, so I spent it here looking and some reading what you all posted. I would like to see "gardens" go on for a very long time. Beauty as well as fun stuff.
pg. 1: Teri O, thank you for your comment. Love... (show quote)

I agree - I love gardens. You could open your own thread for gardens! I would show pictures there too if you wanted!

Your 115 degrees helps to make our 105 degrees more palatable. And I love a Garden party

How about some Calypso, Hawaiian, Jamaican music?

During the monsoon season with the humidity and dew point so high 100 degrees can be our morning low

pg. 3: Pat, I did not know you are having a physical problem. Honny, I am so sorry. It truly is a bummer when we can't walk, bend, or what ever. I must have missed the info somewhere along the line. What is your prognoses? I shall keep you in my prayers. Hugs, Jackie

You didnt miss anything, JacLee. I am tall and my back has been "abused" lifting, turning heavy patients for 40+ years so I have to be careful about bending. Now can't kneel on new knee. I sunburn easily and just the size of the gardens were daunting (there when we moved in). I used to grow food and can and freeze it all summer until we figured out we never ate half of it during the winter. Cheaper to buy. And there were so many other things I enjoyed more. So, I'm thankful to be healthy and just getting the aches of a "senior"

pg. 36: PJ, Great idea! We must have music and the three you mentioned would be great. I always wanted to make my back yard look Tropical. The garden party would spur me on to finish that idea!!

Pat, Glad for you. Your knees should heal in time won't they. I can't get down on my knees either. Guess when you reach my age ever thing starts falling apart. Wearing out. Good Grief, I will be 80 in a couple of weeks. That sounds so old  Thank God, I feel much younger that that.

I use to can and freeze foods from the garden also. And, My hubby always grew a huge Vegie Garden. I have turned all my canning supplies over to my daughters.
