How do I (can I) change the sensitivity of a mouse so that it doesn't use up as much space on my mouse pad?
I personally use a Logitech G502 gaming mouse which allows the user to adjust the DPI of the mouse to slow the cursor movement.

I understand. The standard setting is always too slow. As others have said, you can make adjustments.

I switched to a trackball 20 years ago. I never had enough room on my desk to swing a mouse and the trackball doesn't need any more than it's own footprint.
You still need to adjust the sensitivity to get the speed you need but you don't need a large mouse pad. And you can hold the trackball in your lap or up in the air. It doesn't even need a surface to sit on as long as you can hold it steady.
Ever hear about the blonde who was having trouble with her mouse. Yep, she called tech support because when the mouse reached the top of her mouse pad the pointer wouldn't get to the top of the screen.
I agree with dirtfarmer. A trackball is the only way to go. I am amazed at how few people use them. You can get them wireless and then hold it wherever is comfortable for you.

Shouldn't that be LESS cheese. The extra boost in energy is why the mouse rockets off the pad.
A trackball keyboard is even more better!

I set the mouse pointer for the fastest it can go and kept precision box checked. I'll see how it goes. Right now I want to get my car paid off and finish my commitment to my church's capital campaign before I get a new keyboard, but I have a laptop and almost no space for one to begin with. Next semester I might sign up for a Photoshop or similar course and maybe they'll have something there to use that I like better...at Oshkosh, a photographer had something like a Wacom tablet that he was using in conjunction with whatever software he was using. I still don't know what 98% of the buttons/menus do on PSE12 (which is what I have).
Don't feed him , he will loose weight and you will have more room.
