Upgraded to a Nikon D750 with 24-120mm f/4 lens over Christmas (from a D3300) and had a chance to take some first shots last weekend in DC. It was cold and windy which made for some nice opportunities as there were very few people out and the reflecting ponds were all frozen. Also found a Hawk (I believe Cooper's Hawk but please confirm) in a small tree by the Capitol Building.
Loving this new camera. I have much to learn and I'm sure these shots could be further improved but having fun.

Very nice photos. Enjoy your new camera!!
I think it's a keeper. I like the composition of the first one. And I never tire of pictures that include our flag!

Seems like your transition has been successful, thus far. I have been in DC many times, but you are showing me a fresh perspective via your excellent shots!
I like the unique perspective with the ice and sparse crowd. Seems like you are adjusting well to your new gear!
that is a red tailed hawk. nice work!

All all great, really liked your framing on the fifth shot.

That is a nice set. Also a great camera and lens combo. I am amazed at how sharp the 24-120 can be. I have the same combo.
