Well I just got back from a week down in Broadstairs in Kent and I thought I'd share a few shots from my time down there. Amazingly the weather was glorious which, considering where I live in the North East had experienced enough rain to float several battleships, was a definite bonus.

BTW, the castle-like building you can see in several of the shots is Bleak House where Charles Dickens wrote David Copperfield, among others.

Enjoy and comment as you see fit :D

Thank you :D

The seagulls are a right devious lot. I was strolling along enjoying one of the local delicacies—a cheeseburger puff (a cheese burger wrapped in puff pastry)—when a gull flew up behind me, beat me around the head with his wings and while I was thus distracted, proceeded to surgically extract the burger from the pastry in about half a second and then fly off with his ill-gotten gains.

Aarrgghh!!

FYI, I used a very heavy ND grad in post to achieve the effect. I wanted to catch the sun coming up behind them but the sea mist got in the way.

I like the skies that contain cloud but the plain blue sky looks way, way too dark? In my amateur opinion.

The first image clearly shows folks on the beach enjoying themselves, the sun is high up in the sky (short shadows) but that sky looks so dark... Is that the effect you wanted? It should surely have a beautiful, bright clear blue sky?

Thank goodness we do not have any of those HORRIBLE wind-farms down here!

Polariser on the lens, ND grad in post and yes, it is the effect I want :D

The wind mills appear to be quite away out there. What lens did you use to take the wind mill photos?

I like them all, but #2 really stands out for me because of it's uniqueness and content. I've never seen anything like #2 on this form before.
