autofocus, yes there are several in UHH that came to my aid with lots of suggestions and I have attempted to follow them too.
I do apologize for not responding to those that have stepped up with help, suggestions, etc.
Not covering up myself, but for some reason I have been hit with illnesses since the first of December last year!

I have managed to follow some of the directions and have nearly completed the task of inserting the young man in the group photo. However, the recipients have 9 photos where the boy needed to be inserted. Trying to work in and around illness is not conducive to "study" for me.
Again, I do apologize to you and the rest of the UHH members and thank all for the help and offers.

Thanks
Dave

Here are a couple of photos that I tried, with your help and instructions.

This is my try at the suggestions....Need to work on the boy's color to match others!

Weddingguy, as I say, I'm hesitant about posting the photos, just yet....depends on the frustration level....
And too, really I need to learn how to do this.

Thanks!!
Dave

Weddingguy, thanks for your posting instructions and most of all thanks for the clip of instructions!

I did follow this closely, but not being as good as yourself and others in UHH, I had a time following along.
However, I did manage to get several inserted but now I need to go back and follow more closely on how to change or make the boy's color closer to the rest of the persons in the photos. Like this one.

This is an example when I say I ned to work on the color match!

If I were you I would pick the photos where he can be placed into, and not even try in the others, like the alley way shot. Looking at that particular setup I don't think it'll be possible to make that shot look right. And I'm sure the lighting conditions and associated shadows will be different in the various shots making it even more of a challenge to make it look right. If it's not going to look right on some of those shots just tell the family, sorry, it won't work on all these setups.
I'm old school, and a stickler for good manners, and when someone goes a little extra and does good by you, I believe they deserve a thank you. Now all along, you were actively engaged in your thread, a simple thank you at the end would have been appreciated. Health wise since December, I too have had some issues including a cancer removed from my neck and and my right foot is an in an orthopedic boot because of an extra bone in my foot that I was born with, and now is causing pain. Happy New Year friend.....

Point well taken autofocus!
Manners are quite important.

Thanks again for your help and thoughts on what not to do, especially the alley shot.

Dave,

I have experience with mismatched lighting conditions but I can't easily explain it. Trial and error is involved. Please send me the alley shot and head shot in a private message and I'll try to match and insert it. I'll give you no guarantees except that I'll try.
