Excellent detail in the download. Your location gave you nice shadows for contours and depth. The fluffy clouds/fog dancing across the peaks add to the interest.

But... As composed, your foreground is dominating and feels like it's blocking my view. If no way to get a little higher, an alternative is to crop some from the bottom of the frame to make the bushes less prominent.

Because of the distance and/or for those of us unfamiliar with geology or that specific location, there's really no way to understand the "fossil beds" comments. A series of photos, with detailed captions, could make an awesome storytelling topic.

I think Linda made some very valid points; but the interplay between the mountains and the clouds got me past the foreground in a hurry. As for the fossil beds, I had to assume that there are a bunch of ancient critters in that ground somewhere. I'm not a fossil hound, though, so I was not really sure of how fossils come into play here.
