They haven't even gone into effect yet. Plus if Macy's is doing this, it is because of poor management on the part of their leadership plus prices higher than their competitors that is driving business away. There are already companies giving out bonuses, et al.

EDIT: You might want to read the article as to why the stores are closing PS: it started on Obama's watch and the tax cut legislation had nothing to do with it... Nice try though...

Macy's is badly run. I'm not surprised. My wife got a Macy's card to save money when she bought my daughter a mattress. I like paying bills online, but it was impossible to pull up my wife's account in order to do so. She constantly had to go into the store to pay the bill. In this internet day and age, if you can't pay online, or order online, you're doomed to fail. So....Macy's is failing. However, 250,000 jobs were added in December, which provided the fuel to move the DOW above 25,000 for the first time. It was the fastest that the DOW has ever increased 1000 points.

And people wonder where f**e news comes from. I hope Banker is not in the journalism business...

Added: But Ed Krassenstein is a journalist....you'd think he would know better.

Not only are earnings down, but as I told you about our problem paying online, I came across this on the internet. On Black Friday, Macy's credit card system went down. Of all times not to be able to make sales. It sounds like the company needs new management.
