For those of you here in the midwest, the Army Corps of Engineers did an eagle count yesterday at the locks and dams on the Mississippi between Iowa and Illinois. L&D 14, always a popular spot near Davenport has "only" 120 eagles. Why do I say "only"?
Because just south of there at L&D 18 near Burlington they had over 550 Bald Eagles yesterday!!! Keokuk is loaded too with 250 birds.
So grab your handwarmers and extra batteries if you want to capture some great action.

Thanks Sylvias and Linda. That one was from Keokuk Iowa in 2015. Here are a couple more from that area. With any luck I hope to have lots more in a few days. Can you imagine seeing over 500 of these birds in one spot? I bet there will be plenty of fish stealing going on.
