You are correct LR is non-destructive. If aurora is a plug-in it will show up in the edit-in in the develop module. It creates a copy of the raw on the fly, you do your Aurora editing, and it returns to LR as a tiff or jpg(not sure which). It only brings the object back. The raw it plays with on the fly is erased. Same as any plug-in that LR interfaces with.
