Using a Quantum turbo pack to power a DSLR

I have recently acquired a Quantum turbo 2x2 to use with my shoe mounted strobes. I should have bought one years ago. Here is my question who out there is using one to power the camera body Nikon D800E . I just wanted to know if there are any drawbacks or issues when doing so.

As always thanks in advance
John

As long as the power circuitry is the same as the D800 you are good to go. In addition to the correct cord you may need Nikon adapter EP-5B AC.

I'm not familiar with Quantum specifically, but if it is what I think it is, it provides high voltage directly to the capacitor in your strobes.
In other words, it would fry your camera.

There are multiple voltages. It has a multi point socket. That is why you need to select the right cord for your device. They are listed on Quantum's web site.

I used one for a number of years. Now, for my needs, the batteries in the devices last long enough.

I use one, although I do not use the one by Quantum, but I use a Canon (I'm a Canon shooter, I know that really doesn't matter, but....)
