First Bald Eagle of 2018

Was finally able to get out yesterday as the wife had to visit a mall...I know, I know. While she was there I made a quick run out to Antelope Island. Not a creature was stirring but as I was leaving this fella flew in and let me get a few clicks at about 60 yards.
One of my Christmas presents (still have to shop for myself) was a Panasonic/Leica 100-400 mm lens. So this was a test run too and I'm liking the lens. Both photos cropped.

LOL! Here in Chicago I have a zoo nearby and a lake front, but wild wildlife requires a bit of travel and not something you find when out shopping ...
