Good photos are story and memory stimulation. That tractor is one that Ol' Man Philpot had.. Ford Ferguson with steel wheels.... I can hear that thing now; it growled and had a whine. All of us kids were afraid of him.... Your photo looks cheery, but I am sure Steven King would use mr Philpot in one of his novels. The movie would start with your photo and christmas music... then start thawing and a woman would come out and take the wilted bow off and then he, the Mr, would appear with ax in hand!!!

That's the start to a great story, dpullum. I think you should run with it. We already have the cover photo for the book! By the way, this tractor is a McCormick-Deering. I hadn't ever heard of one before so I did a little research and this seems to be one from about 1925-1930.

Good thinking, nanaval. I'll have to file this one away with that in mind. But who knows if I will remember a year from now!!!
