I recently decided to get back into photography. The intervening years were spent in full-time programming, being a part-time cop, and a loving husband.
I have gone about my return "bass ackwards": I scanned my old transparencies and improved (?) them in (stand-alone) Lightroom. I enclose some of them. Feel free to criticize.
Welcome back to UHH Peter.
Don

THX! I cannot honestly say whether I've lost my touch or not; the images I posted are from 25-year-old transparencies (BTW, in order to keep the uploads a reasonable size, I exported them as 60 % JPEGs, so the technical quality of the images isn't all that good). As soon as I get some free time (right now, all my time is used up by taking care of my dying wife), I will try to get back up to speed. There's a lot to be learned in going from a Mamiya RB67 to a Canon 5DSR, so it's going to take some time to get back into my old groove.
Also, a Happy New Tear to you, too!
Peter, sorry to hear about your wife. I hope you are able to share some of the memories in those 25 year old transparencies with her.

THX for the condolence. Unfortunately, she has severe dementia, in addition to her other medical problems, so I can't meaningfully communicate with her.
Welcome to the Forum Peter, great set of pictures.
