Hey all,
"Middle aged" curmudgeon here (like if Ed Asner and Andy Rooney had a baby...LoL) Ive been into photography since high school. Ive done the whole basement darkroom thing and got a few ribbons from the local county fair photo contest. I hope to be a regular contributor as much as my meager experience will let me... I figure if I want your advice I gotta put something in the game. More to follow, happy shootin' gang..... Paul (but they call me Rocco)
Welcome Paul, aka Rocco. We could be twins except I'm not sure if I am still in the middle age bracket because I have yet to decide on an end date - not sure if I'ld admit to the whole Asner - Rooney combo thing even if true. Did have a darkroom but I was so lazy it was mostly just dark. No ribbons; the county where I spent my formative years only had about 3 families and they were are of the same blood lines so it was more of a fresk show then a fair. That's about it- whatever you like to shoot there are others I'll bet pointed in the same direction and some like me {okay, mostly me} love to make suggestions, ask questions and view the works of others.
This is my "come on in" snap.

Love the "come on in" shot... makes one want to see what is at the end of the pier/bridge... having lived near the ocean on a few occassions it reminds me of some of the fishing piers... I especially love the one attached to the Virginia side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel where I cannot count the # of bushels of blue crab we caught out there.. ty for the memory
