I picked up a tripod with a Manfrotto 3047 head. Couldn't find an L-bracket designed for this mount so I bought a bracket and just added a couple threaded holes.

What creative hardware have you built? (or re-purposed?)

Yes,,, it looks a little crooked. I realize that now and loosened and re-aligned things. Thanks for noticing.

Can you send a link to that?

I don't have any links on my phone as I am at home today. Don't know if I could find a link at work even. Its been long discontinued, went out of production in the late 1990's when the RC0 hex plate heads were discontinued, they were replaced by the RC4 plate which I always hated. Manfrotto has deleted many of the old Bogen sites and links since buying them out. I could send you photos once I am back in the store Tuesday.

That would be fine. Not urgent. I emailed you a note to your website. I've fixed the issue for now, but would be good to see what the real thing looks like.

You might find using different hex plates more convenient.
The Bogen QR Plate P/N: 3041 or the Manfrotto P/N:130-14 do not have all of the extra hardware sticking out in the way.
There are top & bottom photos of them here at B&H.

Interesting. It looks like I can release the screw and hardware by removing a tru-arc clip and replace it with something smaller. Good thought.

I just stopped by the store to drop my gear from a shoot today. I looked in my Bogen gear and that L bracket was gone. I do not remember selling it but it may have gotten sold last summer when I was out for surgery for 2 months. Sorry.

My L brackets came with threaded holes for accessories!

This one had a hole on the short leg but not the long one.

Kirk used to make a piece with a hex plate on the bottom, and an Arca-Swiss clamp on top. This was a good solution that would allow the use of all arca clamps without having to screw/unscrew the plate from the L bracket.

I am sure that if you contact Hejnar Photo he can assemble something like it for you. I adapted the lens plate on a Manfrotto 393 with one of his 4" clamps and it works like a charm.
