Saw this big ole bugger at Merritt island Florida on December 28th 2017 along the bio lab drive, this guy has to be 15 feet or probably longer, and at least 3 feet wide at the belly. I was unable to get all of his nose and tail in picture because of the bushes and because of the time and closing of the gate I could wait for him to move. Photo taken with my Nikon D750 and Nikon 80-400 early vr version, he was about 50 yards away across some water.
We are typically in St. Pete this time of year and I always spend a couple of days at Sawgrass Park. Seems there's a big female there and she has a bunch of little ones when I'm there every year. We had a grandson born 3 days ago, so sticking close to home this year.
Your guy is a big one!! Nice capture.
