I enjoyed these while they were living;I find beauty in their death. Leaves once danced in the wind. Milkweed hosted the Monarchs. Colorful dandelions sprinkled across the lawn were unwanted. Unique leaves decorated the mighty oak. Sunflowers, a garden favorite, provided food for birds and a healthy snack for humans. A riot of flowers filled hearts with untold pleasure. I'm always glad to have comments and criticisms on my posts.

Wonderful series. It is more common to focus on the colorful, alive.. and desired plant life. I am with you though, beauty can be found in all, and even be fascinating in their degradation/death. On a side note, nice to see someone from Byron here, I have strong ties to BC, it is where my Mom's family all used to be.

Beauty in Death. You also have a Gift with words. I am inspired to go out and brave this Chilly winter day ( 50 degrees) Above, to an area called Mission Trails. In San Diego. I bet I will find some interesting opportunities. Thank You

A somber title, but a beautiful series. These are the subjects I overlook until you bring them to life, so to speak.

Number five image is awesome. But in reality, they live on as images and mulch in our garden.

I'm pleased to get your nice response, justhercamera. Would you mind telling me your 'real' name? It's possible you know where I live - I'm in independent living at Byron Center Manor. I've been here 2 years. I moved here from Jamestown. My daughter might know your mom's family because she's lived on Ivanrest south of 100th for many years. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

I'm glad I inspired you to go out shooting, Bear. We're freezing here in Michigan and there's another cold front approaching. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
