A friend of mine is also a reenactor, and really enjoys it. I think that you captured the pride that this man has in wearing that uniform quite well. The profile view, I think, makes it more poignant than if it were straight on. I like the shot.

I like this shot very much. I think what does it for me it's a profile. The facial expression is almost as if he is surveying the field of battle. Doing this in B/W would give some "age" to the shot. If you decide to take that route I would clone out the guy to the left. I don't believe what he is wearing would fit the Final War period.
I'm no portrait photographer, but I think your image of the uniformed man is quite good. The lighting is nice and even, and the choice of profile is quite nice. My niggle is the background elements. The bare arm to the left really stands out, and the bright pink behind him pulls the eye - and it clashes with the red on the subject. I'm not much good at PP, so I'm not sure what can be done. And I know you have little control over background when shooting these events. Another thing I did was change it to a 4x5 format, cropping out some of the top. You might look at that possibility.
Nice--I, too, like the profile shot. I suppose if it were mine, I’d crop off some of the top.
Thank you Erich, appreciate your kind words.

Your image is great. I love period reenactments and I find that color is very pleasurable to view, sepia might be more authentic. I tried some with your image.
Thanks Legaldr, glad you liked it. The sepia look is one rework of this image I did.
