Interesting lighthouse, compared to the ones I see in the northeast! Much shorter, and it looks like someone's beach house except for the light on top. Very nice capture.

Thanks Susan. The bottom part is actually a visitor's center of sorts. I think the smaller building is the lightkeepers house.

A lot of the ones I have seen on the Maine coast have a house next door, which was for the lightkeeper, but a lot of them are not accessible. Mostly because they are on small islands with the only access by boat. Pemaquid Point lighthouse lets people into the light-house, climbing up the metal spiral staircase into the walkway around the light! The tricky part is getting through the trap door from the stairs into the light walkway!

Thank you! I have so many lighthouse pictures, my husband thinks I have a fixation on lighthouses... They do tend to be very photogenic, especially if there is a good sky.
Nubble Light House [York, Maine] is another one I stop at whenever I go up that way.
